Social Work Voices Master Series at the University of Suffolk.
This is the first one of three, starting this November!
Monday 15th November 2021, 12:30 - 13:30.

The aim of this session is to bring to the attention of Social Workers, social work students and academics how they should never expect a consistent, "even" and predictable response from Service Participants.
- Reflecting not just the reality of people's lives but also the ever-changing internal and external influences and emotions experienced in often traumatic and confusing periods in their lives.
- These can interrupt or completely upend the best produced care plans. Life as a Service Participant is frequently messy, unpredictable and full of brilliant and challenging surprises.
- These changes, which can be sudden over the course of a few days or even minutes, can make care planning so unpredictable for even the most experienced social worker. They are also what make us uniquely human.

They hope that the outcome of their session will be a more reflective, agile, creative respectful and collaborative professional.
